Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church, Gracepoint, Pittsboro Presbyterian
Church, Pittsboro United Methodist Church and Staunton Memorial CME Church
will join St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church to host a community Ash
Wednesday service on February 17.   The 7:30 p.m. service will be held in
St. Bartholomew’s sanctuary at 204 West Salisbury Street in Pittsboro.

“Ash Wednesday, as the first day of the season of Lent, is a pivotal day in
our Christian year,” said Mindy Douglas Adams, pastor of Chapel in the Pines
Presbyterian Church.  “This service invites us to look inward – to remember
who God is and to acknowledge who we are as a people in deep need of God’s
love and grace.  We are honored to join with our ecumenical brothers and
sisters of faith in Pittsboro as we begin our Lenten journey together.”

The Reverend Carl Edwards, vicar of St. Bartholomew’s, will preach, and
childcare for young children will be provided. You are warmly invited to
attend.  For more information about the Ash Wednesday service, please
