Thanks to all of the people that helped make the Darrell Bean BBQ Plate Benefit a success! We served between 350 & 400 plates of BBQ and sold out of everything! What a blessing! Special recognition goes to the following individuals and businesses for their generous donations of supplies, food and time.
Inscoe Meat’s of Durham for giving us such a great deal on the pork! Allen & Sons, Dry Dock and Captain Tom’s for delicious slaw. Meg Oakley & her DKE Fraternity men for the beans & potatoes. Angelina at Angelina’s Kitchen for cooking the beans & potatoes, still getting compliments today on them!
Dr. Jason Cooper for the rolls and working the door.
Al’s Diner, NHS Athletic Boosters and Frenchie Nettles for To-Go boxes and utensils.
Faye Robinson for letting us use her kitchen at Northwood.

There are too many individuals to thank that made the event actually happen, but they know who they are and that they made a difference to the Bean family. As one parent said, “The Chatham County family pulls together to take care of each other.” How true!
