Thanks Matt for taking the heat graciously
I hope we can all elevate the discourse as Matt has done and talk about the real issue at hand: the prosperity of local business and circulating a bona fide local currency to make that come true. Dependence on national and international bankers who care nothing about Pittsboro is a risky strategy. On the other hand, cultivating trust, cooperation and supporting homegrown business hardly sounds like “utopian shenanighans”, but a practical way to insulate ourselves from the vagaries of global corporate greed.
Let’s work together, let’s build a model of excellence that will be imitated by others.
