Subject: Place for kids to hang out
I was taken by Carol Thurber’s plea for a place for school kids from Horton Middle School to congregate after school instead hanging out at the restaurants, etc.
She make so much sense and I do hope that the school, parents and community leaders will find a place for them as soon as possible. What is happening to the old PTA Thrift
place? That seems like a great place for kids – plenty of room and a central location. I don’t have children but I would be glad to offer to help in any way that I could. Maybe I could
get my friends here in Fearrington Village to give financial assistance.
I know our Women of Fearrington (formerly Fearrington Women’s Club) donate proceeds from their book/bake sale to various non-profits in Chatham County. I hope to see more
comments about this endeavor and see it come to fruition. Chatham badly needs something like this for our kids.
