Are you curious to know how Chatham County is doing health-wise? You can find out in the 2008 Health of Chatham report.

The data in the 2008 report shows an increase from the 2007 Health of Chatham report data in the number of uninsured in Chatham County, percentage of overweight children, and an increase in the number of teen pregnancies. On a positive note, water quality, affordable health care and recreation resources continue to improve.

The report has been released through the Chatham County Public Health Department website-  http://www.chathamnc.org/publichealth and hard copies are available in English and Spanish at the Pittsboro, Siler City and Goldston libraries, all health department sites, local agencies, schools, and some medical offices.
