Second Bloom

Second Bloom, FVRC’s thrift boutique, is a worthwhile business venture that is helping FVRC support its domestic violence and sexual assault services.

When shopping at Second Bloom you will not only find women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and accessories, but also information about domestic violence and sexual assault.  Your donations and purchases helped Family Violence and Rape Crisis Agency advocates and counselors assisted 901 individuals. Our services included: crisis intervention, emotional support, court advocacy, community outreach, interpreting, safety planning, short and long term counseling, support groups and advocacy with local agencies.  We
strive to provide survivors with options that empower them to heal and make decisions to be safe and live free from violence.

The Garden Place provided safe, supportive emergency and long-term shelter for women and their children fleeing domestic and sexual violence.  We provided shelter to 47 women and 24 children for 2130 nights of safe refuge. The shelter offers individual counseling and support groups for women and children, parenting education, safety planning, and referrals.  These services give families and individuals safe options and support so that they can make plans for breaking the cycle of violence.

Second Bloom is open Tuesday thru Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm our Angel Tree is helping to support over 60 families this year.  Please stop by and see us.
