Hello Everyone,

Mo-Mo’s story had a very sad, abusive beginning…but, now with wonderful animal-lovers from all over NC and especially, CHATHAM COUNTY….he will now have a happy ending!

Mo-Mo is a young Pit Bull that was rescued by one of my customers, who does independent rescue.  Mo came to Maureen weighing 26#’s ….his ideal weight SHOULD have been closer to 55-60#!!!!  Please read his update below:

It is SO true that animal’s live in the moment….he is such a lover..even after everything that he has suffered in his short life!    A wonderful local Vet, Dr Perrin Hammond from Chatham Vet. thinks he is between  1-1.5 yrs old.   He now weighs 30#’s…up from 26#’s when Maureen  first got him….though, he still looks like a concentration camp survivor…and  SO many wounds on him!  They are also thinking that a few are  cigarette/cigar burns!!!!! He may also have a skin infection  going on.  I wish everyone could have met him
yesterday….

Maureen is SO grateful to everyone who has send Mo-Mo energy and healing thoughts, as well as all the wonderful donations!!!!   This will be a  long road to recovery, but Maureen is determined to be there every step of the  way with him.

Thank you to EVERYONE for all the wonderful donations…..Mo-Mo now has 2 soft, comfy beds, a large crate, toys galore, supplements, foods, herbals and Maureen now does not have to worry so much about the cost of rehabbing him….with everyone’s generous monetary donations…WE HAVE RAISED  $647!!!!!!!! A wonderful local Vet has also offered to do his  neuter at low cost, when he is recovered enough for surgery! One other wonderful bit of news…..Mo-Mo is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE….can you believe it??!!!

..  Maureen is overwhelmed by the love that people have shown for  this scrawny, scarred Pit Bull .

As soon as Mo-Mo arrived thru the door of my store…he ran straight  to the yummy smells and found the largest bone that I had in the store and  claimed it as his own….of course, I had to allow him to take it home with him….LOL    A wonderful local Quilter also donated a wonderful  bed that she made for Mo-Mo within a day……AS SOON AS I PUT THE BED ONTO THE  FLOOR …..IT WAS ALSO CLAIMED BY MO….LOL…..HE KNEW IT WAS FOR  HIM…LOL

I even had a special little boy call me and tell me that he and his brother wanted to help Mo-Mo, because it was so sad what happened to him…..Those 2 Angels have some awesome parent’s…who are raising their boy’s to show compassion for ALL God’s creatures:))  This breed more than any other..are condemned everyday by the ignorance of many.
