Subject: another accident at Mann’s Chapel and 15-501
I arrived at the intersection of Mann’s Chapel and 15-501 around 10:30 am on Friday, and saw the 2 police cars and fire truck cleaning up after another wreck; the cars were devastated. Once again, it happened in front of Subway (actually, more to the front, right side of Subway.) I stopped and asked the highway patrolman who was writing up the accident what could be done to prevent more accidents. He said it was a busy intersection, and left it at that.
Yes, it is busy, but these accidents (discussed at different times on the Chatlist) keep occurring in the exact same place in that intersection, so I don’t buy “busy” as a viable answer. I recall that folks have made suggestions in the past about who to contact, but I cannot remember the information. Can someone help me out?
