Subject: I am going with years of community involvement
The Chatham Coalition candidates for school board both seem like nice young men.
However both of them have been here for only 2 to 5 years and have not had much long-term community involvment. One day in the future they may make fine candidates.
This week I plan to go to the polls and vote for Gene Galin and Mia Munn for the Chatham School Board.
Besides this terrific communcations resource we know as the Chatham Chatlist that Gene has moderated for over 10 years, I have seen him at numerous functions and events throughout the years.
Two years ago, it is thanks to his photos and videos of the Northwood dress rehearsals of “The Beauty and the Beast” that I was drawn in to attend the musical at the high school. It was a genuine pleasure to see these young people put on a most enjoyable and top-rate show. Bravo!!!
Gene claims that there are good things happening at our schools and that we can make them even better. I have seen these good things and I do beleive we can make them even better. I applaud all his efforts.
Mia has spent over a dozen years as a scout leader and plans to continue. Parents with kids in Pack 93 and from other groups around the county are familiar with her.
Mia says she will focus on our children in the classroom and identify problems early and implement solutions quickly. Her long-standing track record with the scouts leaves no doubts that she will follow through.
Please remember that ALL Chatham County Voters can vote for BOTH Gene and Mia. Gene’s running from District 2 and Mia is running from District 1.
