Three points to make

I have three points to make:-

(1) Re Angel Dennison’s clarification (#3196-6) of my posting (#3195-19) in which I assumed, from Angel’s earlier posting (#3194-8) that the anti-Hispanic rants she heard were by Northwood parents. My apologies to Angel and any other Northwood parents whom I may have inadvertently offended. (I used to be a substitute teacher at Northwood.)

(2) About Jo Anne Nonymous, who said (#3196-4) that “conservatism equals closed minds equals hatred”. This is one of the most closed-minded assertions I have seen in years, and that is saying a lot!! So, according to her own “philosophy”, Jo Anne equals hatred. I pity her. God help her – she needs it badly. And

(3) Re Robert Waldrop’s mention of his Civil War ancestors, and his statement (#3197-23) that “History proves what was or is right”. Well, the winning side in a war is always “proven” to be right, regardless of all political or other arguments. My paternal grandfather was wounded in a skirmish at Drewry’s Bluff (VA) a few
days before the Battle of Cold Harbor. Thank God for that, since if he had fought in that battle, I probably wouldn’t be here. But I’m glad he didn’t bring shame on the family by deserting.
