don’t know what the fuss is about……this is a good thing that goes on down at the store on fridays, i might point out a rather liberal (note the small “L”) thing….free tunes (okay, pass the hat), local art work, food, family times (too often missing these modern days)…all the work of a handful of folks only trying to maintain the store as a community center, no conservative or liberal agenda….
now in defense of the singer, there is a long standing tradition to ad lib folk type songs, and this particular version of  “down by the riverside” was one of no more war, so the combining of recent events with the old song is keeping well within the song style, not liberal, not conservative, just tradition…..and yes, i did sing along with the chorus of the song because i don’t like war, it is stupid way to solve problems and really only proves who has the biggest stick (right gene, i know there are other venues for this type of discourse, sorry)…

morrie, by your own admission you said had a good time, i would say 99% of the time there, which is a darn good amount, so do it again…and ms. turner you might  wish to rethink your moniker, as there was very little good karma in that  Sun, 10 Aug 2008 20:26:56 -0700 (PDT) post…
