Subject: Cell phone coverage in Chatham County to the street level
Local folks on the chatlist are always looking for information about cell phone coverage in Chatham County.
You can go to the T-mobile web site at http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/pcc.aspx and do a street search of their cellular cover.
Note: Since many cell phone carrier share towers this web page will give you an idea of what kind of covergae is available in your area.
I found that the map generate for our street and surrounding area pretty much matched what I already knew from experience. It also showed be some definite “dead zones” a few thousand feet away from us. This reconfirmed my belief that we were located at the edge of tower coverage.
Give it a try and see if this helps any. If there are other tools available out there feel free to share them with your fellow chatlisters.
