Subject: Leadership Chatham
Still recruiting participants for Leadership Chatham. If you want to learn more about the operations and specifics of your community while also developing and enhancing leadership skills, you will want to be a part of this program.
Regardless of the profession that you are in, you need tools to equip you for success. This program is a good tool to have in your tool box. You will be put in contact with key people and information that will assist you in your business performance. You will be educated in many areas that will help you to gain valuable knowledge and enable you to effectively communicate with your customers/clients about your community. As you know, our population is increasing. Chatham County is growing rapidly.
New residents become our new customers. These new residents and some of our existing residents ask questions about Chatham. It puts us in an awkward position when we are working to gain business in our area and don’t have the knowledge to answer our potential new customers questions about the county in which we live.
The program begins with an opening reception on September 11. The next week you will go through a day long Team Building session. From October through May you will have day long sessions while touring Chatham. The sessions include:

c.. Industry & Economic Development
d.. Tourism
e.. Cultural Diversity
f.. Education
g.. Health & Human Resources
h.. Agriculture
During the course of the program the participants work together on a group project. This project has to pertain to something that would be beneficial to Chatham County.
The participants graduate and present their group project in June.
