A number of announcement regarding Parks and Recreation related Activities in and around Pittsboro:
1) The Town of Pittsboro is seeking a volunteer to serve on its Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. As the name implies, the Board is tasked with advising the Town on issues related to Parks and Recreation. The current vacancy is for someone residing within the Town’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) but not within the Town Limits. For more information or an application packet please contact Paul Horne, Assistant Planner for Parks and Recreation at phhorne-at-nc.rr.com. Applications submitted before August 5, 2008 will be considered.
2) A Pedestrian Planning Public Workshop will be held at the Town Hall from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. For more information about the planning process visit the plan website: http://www.greenways.com/downloads/PittsboroNewsletter.pdf
