Over the years I have bought 10 vehicles. By far the worst car buying experience of my life was at Pittsboro Chevrolet. Every time I see one of the commercials with the badger in his little plaid coat I think that could have been filmed at Pittsboro Chevrolet. In my case I made all the classic mistakes. I went in on a rainy Friday evening. I took delivery of a used vehicle that evening without checking it out with my mechanic or on line. My fault, NEVER TRUST ANY CAR DEALER.
The following morning after the rain had stopped I discovered that the vehicle that they had recommended and then sold to me didn’t even have the one option that I had asked for.
I was waiting at the door on Monday morning when they opened. But according to Pittsboro Chevrolet they had already sent off the paper work, so they couldn’t just take the vehicle back. But they would do a dealer trade to help me get into a vehicle equipped the way I’d wanted in the first place. At Pittsboro Chevrolet dealer trade is defined as: Dealer wins big and you loose.
So my advice is if you can’t resist playing with badgers don’t forget to take your lawyer and mechanic with you.
