You are locking the barn doors after that horse has already been stolen. It’s already a done deal – nothing you can do about it except refuse to buy anything from McDonalds and encourage your friends to do so.
And, in your opinion I’m sure: horror of horrors, there will also be a Taco Bell / Kentucky Fried Chicken combo at the same intersection. Before you go getting all upset – that’s a done deal too.
Personally, I am glad to see the businesses coming to this area. Lord knows we need the tax revenue. And – with the price of gas these days, I would love not having to drive so far. In my opinion – and remember, opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one and some smell better than others – In my opinion, I would love to see a Golden Corral, Applebees and/or Ruby Tuesday too.
And, warning!!! Sit down before you continue reading!!! I would also love to see a Walmart!!! And I can’t wait for the “Mega Mall” to be built on the east side of town.
Increased tax revenues, increased job opportunities and opportunity to shop / eat without selling off a child, niece or nephew to pay for a tank of gas. Yep. Sounds good to me.
