If you haven’t attended this event in the past I would highly recommend it.
I have 75 pictures from last year’s event up at http://chathamjournal.net/photos/v/70812tasteofchatham/ that you can view. See how many Chatham county folks you recognize.

Indulge in culinary delights, wine tasting and a live auction. All of the event’s food will be donated by restaurants and private chefs. This year’s delicacies will include tasty dishes from Ciao Bella, Mama Dip’s Kitchen and many more.
Desserts will include a variety of tasty delights to fill your sweet tooth craving.
The Heart of Carolina Jazz Trio, made up of members of the larger Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra, will provide the musical entertainment. The locally renowned band will perform familiar tunes from the big band era for your listening & dining pleasure.
The live auction will feature treasures donated by local artisans and businesses such as golf for four at The Preserve at Jordan Lake, golf for four at Governors Club, one night stay at the Fearrington Inn, and many more.
This year’s Special Guest Speaker will be Mr. Rick Steinbacher, UNC-CH Associate Athletic Director of Marketing & Promotion and our Master of Ceremonies will be Ms. Pam Saulsby, News Anchor for WRAL News.
Over the years, “A Taste of Chatham” has become one of the largest social events in Chatham County, drawing over 250 people at the last event. This year’s event will benefit the Capital Campaign. Funds raised will be allocated toward paying off the Western Chatham Senior Center in Siler City. The new facility has enabled the Council to expand services and more effectively meet the needs of Chatham County’s older adults. The Council’s programs and services include Home Delivered Meals, In-Home Aide Service, Congregate Meals, Minor Home Repairs, Caregivers Support & Respite, Information & Referral and Wellness Programming.
The event, “A Taste of Chatham” raises money through corporate sponsorships, advertising in the event program, a live auction and community sponsorships. All food and auction items are donated by local businesses, corporations and individuals.
