Subject: Problems with Bus Driver?
Has anyone ever had a problem with a bus driver here in Chatham? My kids are having trouble with their bus driver and it seems like she has chosen them to be the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong on the bus.
I have reported her for using a cell phone while driving and also for cussing at kids on the bus. She got a slap on the wrist and said she would not do it again, but then would not let the kids off the bus yesterday morning until someone admitted whose parent called and reported her. The kids almost missed breakfast because of this. The Principal has been completely unresponsive and would rather think that the kids are the problem instead of the driver and encourages the driver to “write them up”.
This is the third school my kids have attended, and they have never had trouble on the bus or in school, and I am at my wits’ end. My kids don’t want to go school because of the bus driver, but since I opted out due to redistricting I cannot afford to drive them every day which would be a 40-mile round trip journey just to take them to school.
Any advice?
