This was said in a previous post:

“I am so thankful for the Chatham Marketplace.  Piggly Wiggly does  nothing to enhance the town aesthetically wise with a face of a giant  pig on a giant white sign sticking out like a sore thumb at  the shopping center. The 2 shopping centers where Food Lion is and PW are  dirty and not attractive.”

I want to start by pointing out that I love the Chatham Marketplace and I am very happy they are here but the fact is that many folks cannot affort to pay a premium for the items on sale there. Many people also simply prefer mass market food items to the items on sale at the Chatham Marketplace. I feel blessed to be able to afford shopping at the Marketplace and blessed that we have multiple shopping choices. I go to Lowes and the Pig to buy items which are much cheaper and for which I do not see a major difference in quality. When I go to Lowes and the Pig I see a different group of people than I see at the Marketplace and they are buying in a place which charges less and has the products they desire.

There is a difference between adding nothing that you like and adding nothing.

The this was said:

“There are crowds of people always hanging out in front of the Dollar Store in the PW Shopping center that has become a local hangout.

Where are the police?”

Perhaps you will explain why the people hanging out at the Pig need police attention and the people hanging out at the marketplace do not?
