After reading all of the posts about the Carolina Brewery, my husband and I decided to see what all the fuss was about and make our own decision.

We arrived at 5:35 on Saturday and were greeted and seated promptly. Our perky and personable waitress, Heather, was standing at our table 2 minutes later to take our drink and appetizer order.

They arrived at our table at 5:40. We then ordered our entrees and they arrived at 5:57. We had not finished our delicious onion rings so we continued to eat those with our dinner.

I ordered a cup each of the Brunswick Stew and chili. My husband ordered the fish and chips with coleslaw. When Heather came back to ask if we were enjoying the food, I told her I did not like the Brunswick Stew at all (it was too mushy with an odd flavor) but that the chili was really good! She asked if I wanted something else and I said no. I would just enjoy the chili and onion rings and then order dessert! I must say that I have never had Brunswick Stew and just wanted to find out what it tasted like. I won’t
order it anywhere else if that’s what it’s supposed to taste like. LOL

My husband enjoyed his fish and although the french fries were only room temperature, they were delicious, and I do NOT normally enjoy my hot food at room temperature.

Since I had so little to eat, I ordered the brownie sundae. The brownie was hard and difficult to cut with a spoon or a fork but the taste was fabulous as was the chocolate sauce and ice cream and whipped cream on top!!

Although my husband doesn’t hear very well out of one ear, we had no difficulty hearing each other and the restaurant was PACKED!!

So we would recommend that everyone at least TRY the Brewery once and make your own informed decision. For us, we plan on going back and trying more of the selections!!
