Despite Gene’s endorsement of Cecil Wilson to become the next planning board chairman, I am hearing that this is unlikely to happen.

Apparently Commissioner Dianna Hales and the Old White Liberals (aka OWLs) on the planning board want to make George Lucier the next chairman.

This is definitely a prime example of Chatham County liberals exhibiting their “Do as I say, not as I do” mantra.

Liberals constantly preach about improving opportunities for minority participation and advancement.

This would be a awesome opportunity for the planning board to elect their first African American chairman. But instead we’ll have a bunch of OWLs telling a black man: “No, despite the fact that you are currently the vice-chairman, you are not qualified to become Chairman.”

Of course the OWLs will screech that they are not racist. Yet, none of them will be able to offer many legitimate reasons why Cecil shouldn’t be the next chairman. They are sure to come up with all sorts of politically correct gibberish to cover their behinds.

The OWLs will also respond to this email and tell us all how they are offended and start doing the “I have a black friend/neighbor” thing.

Actions speak loader than words.

To my OWL friends – just do the right thing.

Besides Gene and Cecil here is a rundown of the Chatham County planning board members –

B. J. Copeland, Chair
Bill Arthur (OWL)
Jim Elza (OWL)
George Lucier (OWL)
Allison Schwarz Weakley (OWL)
Stacey Curtis (OWL)
Caroline Siverson (OWL)
Anthony Gaeta, Jr. (OWL)
Brian Bock

For those of you who know Chatham County liberals, how do you think this vote is going to turn out?

It’s apparent that King George of the OWLs wants to drive this planning board bus.

As for Cecil Wilson?

Well, George Lucier and his Old White Liberal friends will pretty much be telling Cecil to get to the back of the bus.
