Poetry @ The Plant in Pittsboro on Wednesday, August 13 at 6pm is being dedicated to women’s empowerment in collaboration with the Women’s Advocacy Initiative (https://www.wainitiative.org/).
The theme centers on resilience, identity, womanhood and gender. Our selected poets will be sharing work that uplifts, challenges, or explores what empowerment means to them.
This event is also a fundraiser with (optional) donations going directly to the Survivor Support Network which provides financial and emotional support to women and gender-expansive survivors of sexual violence. Your voice will not only be part of a powerful night of expression, but also part of support for our community.
