Hello all. I have a favor to ask. My mother has dementia, and is in a facility. She perks up a bit when music from her era is played. The problem is that I am not there to play it. It was suggested that I might play CDs for her. So I am asking for anyone who might have a CD player, portable that plays more than 1 CD….Or even one. Her music of choice is Nat King Cole, Charlie Rich, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, old hymns and the like. I thought that if I set it up in her room I could leave a note on her door and ask the aides to hit play and or change the CD periodically.
Does anyone have these things sitting around, collecting dust? Dementia is a wicked beast and this might just give my mom a little joy. I could pick up your items and or you could drop them off at Pittsboro Feed….The staff there will get them to me.
Thank you for your kindness
