Dear Joe,
Not if the doctor cares about self preservation or setting a good example for patients or is knowledgeable. I have to take off my mask for Dr. Scheetz to work on my teeth, but he still wisely wears his. Same for Dr. Cheeseborough and his staff and Dr. Hoffman and his staff.
Joe, there is too great a likelihood that other people in the doctor’s office are at high risk. Wait times are kept to a minimum, especially by your showing up when scheduled and waiting outside or in your car if early or doctor delayed. AND, patients come to the office to see if their symptoms are contagious and they need treatment. Transmission of all respiratory illnesses are reduced by mask wearing. That’s why we wear them always in the Operating Room. Not perfect, but very good.

Maybe a doctor could see you outside while the weather is still nice.
