The most important words in our Constitution are: “We The People”.
In our Representative Republican, the most important role to fulfill as a member of “We The People” is to vote.
Not by party affiliation. Not by how your grandfather or grandmother voted. And not by the last attack ad your heard on television.
Take the time to research the candidates, to understand their views for the future, and to fulfill your responsibility to your community by casting your vote rationally, calmly, and with the knowledge that your ballot agrees with both your mind and your heart.
We invested the time and effort to video the entire Candidate Forum Sponsored by the Chatham News + Record last Wednesday, October 26th, at Central Carolina Community College at the Pittsboro Campus. It is freely available to you at https://www.youtube.com/@chathamncgop .
You do not need to watch the entire six clip 2+ hours at once. The Opening Statements and Closing Statements for the School Board and Board of Commissioner races have been included in separate but unedited clips. The Question and Answer segment, moderated by Bill Horner, for each race in presented in an unedited clip. These two clips are very worthwhile, but lengthy.
The Candidate Forum was a great event, and the Chatham News + Record should be commended for sponsoring this event.
