Subject: Journalism and objectivity
The local newspaper posted that political letters to the editor would not be allowed after October 15. In the latest edition (obviously after Oct 15), there were two very political letters to the editor that were published. If one reads those letters closely, they mirror what the editor of the paper has posted on his Facebook page.
That certainly brings into question the objectivity of the newspaper. No, not really; we all know how the newspaper feels about objectivity – just read the hit pieces on any conservative candidate.
So the real question is, why should I trust what is written in the local rag?
