We were among the many poor sods who got disconnected when BrightSpeed took over CenturyLink “service.” I won’t go into the details of our struggle with BrightSpeed…it’s no news to most of you. Fortunately I found the solution.
Our “go-to” guy, Sam (owner Chatham Cellular Computer Repair) has completely resolved the problem for us. He installed a new modem (not the one BrightSpeed sent us…we’ve heard all about how lousy they are), reconfigured, reset, and restarted, and got us up and running with no problems. We’ve been going to Sam for a while now when we’ve had problems with our electronic devices. He’s extremely reliable, knows his stuff, and tells you honestly what options are available. I once went in to have my Kindle repaired. Sam could have made the repairs, which would have cost more than I had counted on. Instead he advised me to just purchase a new Kindle as that would be cheaper. Not all companies would have been honest enough to give up a chance for more money.
