This is an inspiring and impressive report by the Haw River Assembly. I was intrigued by the closing that emphasized that all this trash eventually would work its way to Jordan Lake.
I am ignorant about the specifics of the dam and the outflow tract out of Jordan Lake. Is there any strainer that might prevent trash from flowing OUT of the Lake? If such were feasible, we might find it possible to retard the flow of trash into the ocean.?????
Congratulations to the many people who organized themselves so effectively to interrupt the polluting process this close to the source. May we find ways to motivate those less concerned to become more attentive to reducing the amount these devoted persons will find next Spring.
