I really wish Randolph Telephone would get off their backside and start rolling out to more areas. We’ve been on their interested list for over two years now. We got excited when someone installed fiber down old 421 and through parts of Goldston last summer, but RT says it wasn’t them.
If there is enough population density in the Silk Hope area and around Harper’s Crossing and 902 to warrant a rollout of their fiber service, I would think that the greater Goldston areas would be a gold mine for them, but apparently not.
Thanks to some help received from the chatlist, we were finally able to get DSL installed in an ordeal that only took about three months. The sad thing is that the satellite option is so bad and so expensive it makes even the lower end of DSL capability due to distance seem wonderful.
