I have received two prayer for judgements – one in Wake County for turning left (from one one way street to another) on a red light , one, several years later, in Chatham for speeding.
I appeared in court and asked the judge for the prayer for judgement without copies of my driving record or anything else. The process was simple and straight forward.
Of course, I’m a white, middle-class woman. Which should make no difference, but perhaps it does.
