What
Upbeat and heartwarming musical play featuring family-friendly pop
hits and beloved musical theater songs among short scenes of love and
kindness we all crave during the pandemic. The Heal 2020 musical book
was written by Parker Harris, PYTs Music Director, and other members
of Kids On Stage in North Carolina. Struggling to deal with the
stresses of living through COVID-19, audiences will find comfort and
hope… an event to inspire happiness and healing.
Who
Pittsboro Youth Theaters experienced troupe of young actors will
perform Heal 2020. For nearly a decade thousands of locals have
rejoiced at past performances by these talented singers, actors and
dancers at Sweet Bee Theater and elsewhere around Pittsboro. Special
guest performers in Heal 2020 performances will include, …Triggle
Academy performing Irish Dance during intermission …Chatham Dance
Connection performing with PYT in sections of Heal 2020, …and Haw
River Christian Academy Theater Department will perform a short play,
The Prideful Princess, PreShow, on Oct. 16 and 17.

How – Audio from the stage will be broadcast to vehicles in
attendance via FM radio broadcast. Professional stage, lighting and
audio equipment will be set up under a large, permanent, all-weather
cover. ADA-compliant restrooms will be available. A refreshment cart
will go to vehicles selling a variety of snacks and drinks.
Cost – $10 per car plus $5 per person. No walk-ins… its a
Drive-In. All attendees must remain in or immediately near their
vehicle. To assure everyone has the best stage view possible,
attendance will be limited to 33 vehicles, and shorter cars will be
parked in front of taller vehicles. Attending vehicles must remain
parked until after the event.
