If you don’t want to stand in line to vote, and you don’t want to put your absentee ballot in the mailbox because you’re concerned that it won’t arrive in time, there is a simple solution. I called the Board Of Elections in Pittsboro the other day and asked if I filled out my absentee ballot and drove it to the Board of Elections could I give it to them? They said absolutely!
You do not have to get your absentee ballot notarized any longer, all you have to do is have someone, ex: a neighbor, sign the outside of the sealed envelope stating that you are the person who put the ballot in the envelope and then hand-deliver it to the Board Of Elections in Pittsboro. No USPS & no waiting in line during a pandemic.
