Seems to me we need to trust our civic leaders to maintain safety and justice; we entrust our leaders, including our lawmen, to adhere to the Constitution and administer equal justice under the law. It’s more than the police; we hope for the best from our local, state, and federal administrators of the law (as well as corporate leaders) to be honest and fair. Americans deserve no less. Citizens who run afoul of the law need to be held accountable, as do our civic and corporate leaders. When we learn of malfeasance, a natural response is objection; then analysis to seek redress and rectification, to form a more perfect union. Seems reasonable, doesn’t it? Those who enable a corrupt system are complicit in the deterioration of optimal governance, and will hopefully recognize a greater good, and turn from their ways (nobody likes a bully). Seems like folks are changing how we think about how to live a better life, for our kids and grandkids, and are getting ready to get engaged with trying to make a difference. God Bless them. Maybe we all can try to just get along and let’s make sure we all get out to vote come November. All the best —
