Subject: Oppose the sales tax increase
Chatlist readers have been given misinformation on the proposed tax increase for Chatham County that has been placed by our current commissioners on the March ballot.
The commissioners can do with this proposed money as they please. Despite comments to the contrary, it is not targeted to affordable housing, schools, or anything else.

See anything about how the money will be spent? I don’t either.
This seems like another way to get more dollars from our pockets into the pockets of government without a valid stated reason for the money.
Do your own research and then vote on what you think is right. For me, the right thing to do is vote against this unexplained and sudden request for more money.
