Subject: CERT January meeting
Chatham CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) will hold our next meeting on Wednesday, January 22 at 6:00 PM in the Emergency Operations Center, 297 West St in Pittsboro. This month’s topics include an overview of the CERT basic course, winter weather preparedness, and the functions and operations of the Emergency Operations Center and Chatham County emergency operations. We will also go over the calendar for the upcoming year.
If you are a CERT member, interested in becoming one, would like to hear more about it, or are just curious, please attend! Everyone is welcome, and there is no cost.
We are also planning to hold a CERT basic training course on March 21 and 22 in Pittsboro. Please put that weekend on your calendars if you would like to attend. This course is for residents 18 and older, and covers a variety of important topics such as disaster preparedness, fire safety, and disaster first aid. To learn more about preparing yourself, your family and your neighborhood before and after a disaster, you should attend this course. More information on how to register will be published soon.
If you are not on our CERT email list and would like to be, please let me know..
