Subject: Bible courses are again being offered at CCCC
My college Bible courses are again being offered by the Continuing Education Dept at CCCC this Spring.
Understanding New Testament and It’s History.
Experience the history, culture, times and people of the 1st century and the 400 years of silence between the Testaments. A brief look at the Bible and its journey, the biblical God, and the Old Testament’s connection to the New. Some big principles are taught and applied for understanding and interpretation.
It’s not a bible study, but my condensed college bible courses. It uses academics of History, Cultural Backgrounds, and Apologetics to focus not on WHAT is in Scripture, but WHY. WHY the writers wrote what they wrote, why the characters, including God, said and did what they said and did. The WHYS lead to Understanding, hence the title.
It is 12 weeks (36 hrs) beginning Jan 14 thru April 7.
Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 – 11:30 AM
The cost is $126. A financial aid scholarship may be available.
Pittsboro Campus. Room TBA
No textbook required as I give out extensive class notes.
A commentary bible is recommended but do not buy until you see me. (I have them wholesale).
