Subject: For the Chatlist~
I would like to thank the good Samaritan(s) who have been leaving cat food and water at one of my main colonies in Pittsboro lately! Also, for the cat container and straw that was left at that location as well! I would love to thank you personally, so please contact me privately unless you wish to remain anonymous.
Secondly, the amount of pet food that is thrown out in Chatham by our local stores is staggering! The other day a lady handed me a large bag of Friskies that she retrieved from a garbage bin at the back of a popular store. I know other usable items are thrown out for naught as well, but my main concern is the animals. If you work at any of the stores and find it in your heart to donate to us please contact me. Or give the food to someone else who rescues! In 2019 thus far we have saved 18 cats in Pittsboro. Not a record year, but every little bit helps! I appreciate the people who wave or look the other way when they see me, rather than interfere with what I am doing.. It’s not the cats fault that some humans don’t care about them. We are doing everything possible with a shoestring budget to save, spay and provide a loving home for the ones who cross our path.
~Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Mary-Ellen Armstrong~
