Subject: Chatham CERT meeting – June 26
The Chatham Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) meeting this month is June 26 at 6:00 PM in the Chatham County Emergency Operations Center, 297 West Street in Pittsboro.
Our topic this month is PODS – Points of Distribution. A PODS is where emergency supplies are distributed to the public during a disaster. Chatham CERT would assist the County in distributing emergency supplies. Please come and learn how this procedure would work, and we will complete a short practical exercise at the end of class to practice what we will do in an actual emergency.
