Subject: Three for Free!
CARE (Chatham Animal Rescue & Education) is offering FEE spay surgeries for female cats and dogs starting January 15 – May 31, 2019. Through Three for Free, qualifying Chatham County residents (household incomes of $40,000 or less) have the opportunity to spay three female pets at no cost. Covered services include the spay surgery, pain medication, any necessary vaccinations, and a microchip (optional). Call (919) 542-5757 or go to chathamanimalrescue.org and click on any spay/neuter link for an application.
CARE’s Three for Free offer is designed to reduce the large influx of litters of kittens and puppies that come into the Chatham County Animal Shelter every year during the spring “kitten and puppy” season. Three for Free is funded by a grant from the Margaret T. Petrie Spaying and Neutering Foundation and CARE’s Lillie’s Fund.
CARE is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that promotes responsible pet ownership by educating the community, providing targeted spay/neuter programs, and fostering homeless cats and dogs until they are placed in loving, permanent homes. CARE works with Chatham County Animal Services to save the lives of unwanted cats and dogs, manages feral cat colonies, and serves as an educational resource. CARE’s Lillie’s Fund is a targeted spay/neuter program, subsidizing sterilization surgeries for pets owned by lower income families in Chatham County
