Subject: how do y’all do it

I had gotten fairly jaded over Chatham politics during the last few years. The political machine and it overriding the wishes and thoughts of landowners and it’s own planning board during the zoning process was, at the time the straw that broke the camel’s back

With the prospect of a decent candidate for Sheriff I figured I’d come back and try to follow the local list again.  As soon as I signed back up one of the first topics with considerable discussion was the logging on 64, whether or not it had the proper county/city permits and what it’s purpose was, later on one of the bigger topics was the size of political signs and the applicable permits/regulations in the city of Pittsboro.

How do y’all do it?  How do you manage to have that much free time?  I can’t conceive the thought of knowing that a regulation regarding signs exists much less taking the time to actually check on whether one meets said regulation.

Maybe one of these days I’ll figure out the secret to juggling work, family, trying to farm, trying to have a little fun occasionally all while keeping up with the mundane minutiae of the local permitting process and who is or who isn’t following those to the letter of the law.

Hopefully sometime I’ll have that much free time on my hands, then again, no I never hope to have that much free time on my hands.
