Subject: Life in a Chatham Coo-Coo Clock House
Life in Chatham sometimes is like living in a Coo-Coo Clock House. Every hour on the hour I have to open the door and scream out some annoying blurb. My hands are busy all day, just moving around. The numbers are astounding. First there was only one, then three and now really a handful- probably twelve by noon
Somebody is always pulling my chain, adjusting what i think and do. I just don’t have the time for that. That lady downstairs never stops churning and that Reindeer on top of the house is loosing his antlers. The guys sawing that log are a never ending annoyance. The ‘tick tock’ of this life is causing me to unwind- But who ever asked me to chime in?
Just an antiquated wallflower, soon to be relegated to the attic . . .

Time and time again I ask myself- Must every minute be accounted for? In my 82 years of saving Daylight Time, I soon will have to rent a new storage unit . . . just to insure I have enough time for future use .
