Question for anyone that has an answer…..

Please don’t send me mean or hate emails over this post.

For those struggling, to make ends meat, pay bills, stretch a $ to feed a mom and a daughter…. or with other families, it would be more than 2 people. There is help in getting food…. food stamps… food banks… friends…. strangers… but what about things that you can’t eat, but really need to survive? For instance, toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper, shampoo, body soap, $ for meds, deodorant, laundry detergent, and other things that we need to live that isn’t food.

Where can a Chatham Co. resident go to get help in getting these kinds of things????

It would be WONDERFUL if there was a group of people that met and gathered coupons and got wonderful deals and pay a small amount for products that would have cost a lot of $$$$. I watch those couponers on tv and see the huge stash of stuff they got to which the coupons and store savings made the bill be like $10 or $5 for a bill that may have been $200 or $500.

I am just very curious if any one out there knows of where to go for this kind of help.

It would be nice if a group of women got together and did the coupon thing, helping those that need it…. is a WONDERFUL feeling…. Have you felt that feeling … if not…WHY?

Thanks…

  1. Hi there,

I think that is a great idea. With a small group, you could also consider creating a food co-op, where you could buy bulk wholesale from distributors. You get together to unpack and distribute items on a volunteer basis. It’s a great way to possibly buy better quality goods cheaper and build a support network/community.
