Family Fishing Fiesta!
Come on out for a Free, Fun Family Fishing day at Jordan Lake.
Date: *April 21st, light rain or shine.
*Description: 25+ educational and fun stations covering outdoor education, careers and recreation. Food trucks.
2PM Raffle: Lifetime fishing license, 2 State Parks family passes, subscription to Wildlife magazine.
For youth 12 and under who participate in the* Fiesta Quest* scavenger hunt, there is a drawing for prizes of fishing poles and life jackets.
*Location: *White Oak access, White Oak Beach Rd.
Entrance is on north side of US 64, just east of and opposite the entrance to the Visitor’s Center.
Time: 10 am to 3 pm.
Free. Poles and bait provided.
No license required.
Let’s go fishing! The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is grateful to the many people who buy fishing licenses which helps to keep healthy and productive populations of fish in our waters. We want to invite you to celebrate with us at the Family Fishing Fiesta at Jordan Lake on April 21st from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. Come out for the day, even if you’ve never fished! We will teach you how, and we will provide poles and bait to ensure everyone has a fun and educational experience free of cost, no license required. We especially want to invite and thank North Carolina’s Latinx and Hispanic anglers. We look forward to seeing you soon.
