TOWN OF PITTSBORO ~ PLANNING BOARD MEMBER VACANCY
The Town of Pittsboro Planning Board is a six-member advisory board (with two alternates who fill in when needed) representing the residents of the Town of Pittsboro and its Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) in the planning and zoning matters that will go before the Town Board of Commissioners. A vacancy exists for (1) ETJ – Alternate Member. The ETJ status requires that the resident must live outside the Town limits but within the Town’s extraterritorial jurisdiction limits.
Persons who may be interested in serving upon this important public body are invited to contact the Planning Department at 919-533-5480 to verify your address qualifies as ETJ before submitting an application for consideration by the Board of Commissioners.
