Subject: Pittsboro Bread and Cinnamon Rolls
A great shout-out to a new bake shop in Pittsboro. The bake shop is named WILLY’S, and it is located on the side-street across from the liquor store (that little street is called Chatham Street). We were fortunate to get in to the shop the first week they opened. My husband was fascinated by the combination of cayenne, cheddar and sweet in the cheddar scones. I personally loved the scones dripping with blueberries. And I am not sure of the name of the bread we bought, but it was awesomely moist and wholesome. Even more delightful was the fact that when we went to Storytelling that Saturday night at the Bynum Store, WILLY’S had gifted the audience that evening by sending breads, cinnamon rolls, and scones. So everyone had something to eat during the intermission, and folks went home with loaves of bread. A truly fine and generous new Pittsboro shop.
