Subject: Be a dog foster caregiver for CARE
CARE (Chatham Animal Rescue and Education) is seeking volunteer foster caregivers to provide quality, temporary in-home care for one or more homeless dogs from Chatham County until they can be permanently adopted by a loving home.
CARE does not have a shelter. We can only rescue as many animals as we have space for in the homes of our volunteer foster caregivers.
While in the homes of foster caregivers, we ask that dogs receive affection, food, shelter and socialization to be successfully adopted. CARE pays for the cost of veterinary care, spay/neuter, vaccines and food.
New foster caregivers are assigned an experienced mentor, who will guide them through the procedures and guidelines for dog care, fostering and CARE’s policies.
Fostering a dog takes time and energy. However, it is a wonderfully rewarding experience and a critical need in Chatham County.
If you would like information on becoming a foster caregiver, please contact CARE: (919) 542-5757 or dogwelfare@
Thank you for making a difference by saving a dog’s life through fostering.
