Subject: spraying on roadside
In regards to Thurman Maness writing about the spraying on his roadside, I have since noticed that there has been obvious spraying of something along both sides of Jones Ferry Road, at least from Frosty’s to University Lake. There are literally hundreds of dead brown trees in what can only be a spraying pattern. This is really scary, as some of these trees are pretty big. I wonder how much poison one has to spray to kill a 15 ft pine tree dead, and everything around it. It literally looks like the banks have been painted brown. I would be very curious to know what the poison was that ran into our ground water supply. Especially since, as I understand it, a lot of Carrboro and Chapel Hill residents get their water supply from University Lake. Not to mention whatever we all breathed in as we were driving past.
