Searching for Jones Ferry Crossing
Sunday, September 17
2:00 pm
Historic Chatham County Courthouse
Pittsboro

Two local history buffs curious about where Jones Ferry crossed the Haw River have recently met and realized that their theories support one another. On Sunday, September 17 at 2:00pm, in the Historic Chatham County Courthouse in Pittsboro, the two investigators will discuss how the findings of their independent investigations dovetail to form a plausible theory about where Jones Ferry crossed the Haw River in the 18th and 19th centuries in northern Chatham County. Please join us for the Chatham County Historical Association’s September program, where Margaret Miller Growe and Richard Ellington will co-present their observations to the community. The program is free and the public is welcome.
