TAIZÉ FROM THE CROSS: Reflecting on the Seven Last Words of Christ
A Good Friday/Sabbath Evening Service of Taizé Prayer
Good Friday, April 14, 7 PM, St. Bart’s Sanctuary (204 W Salisbury Street, Pittsobor)
Imagine for a few moments that you were witness to the horrific death of your Teacher/Leader/Friend, Jesus. You are still in shock, yet you join your community of faith gathering for your traditional Friday evening Sabbath service.
This particular Sabbath service, you all begin to share your stories of Jesus, and in particular you remember what, through his pain and suffering, he uttered from the cross — words of compassion, forgiveness, of the promise of the kingdom, of his own suffering, of faith, and finality. As you pray and sing and share together, you wonder what happens next…He did promise that he would be with us always…will it be so?
Join us Good Friday evening, 4/14, 7 PM, in the Sanctuary…in preparation for the next few days…and beyond.
