update: after deciding to go with Republic Wireless, I placed my order on 1/31.
On 2/1, I received email informing me that the phone I ordered and paid for + shipping + 1st month of service was on back order and I might get it in 1-2 weeks.
GRRRR…this a major reason I do not like to do business with companies that do not deal with its customers directly on the phone. At the least when I chose the phone, the site could have let me know availability status…
and the beat goes on…
